The Jambros

We’ve had a week break, after a very productive period of arranging and playing.  I’ll have to get a picture of our Giant Foam Board of Stuff We’re Serious About.  We’ve distilled the stuff we want to record for the album;  and the pieces are in various stages of development.  Some of them are still just a musical sketch, and others have actual defined lyrics but may be missing a bridge or something.  One we’ll be working on Sunday night is fully formed, but after listening we realize it’s a bit too long with 4 verses so we’ll chop it down to 3.

So, part of what makes this take so long is re-listening and evaluating before we get to the actual recording process.  And so far, out of the ten podcasts (thus far), only November 3rd Demo and December 28th Version 2 have made it to the Giant Foam Board.

Although honestly I’d love to develop Eighty-One a bit more as an instrumental and throw it in there somewhere.
